Matt Call was true to his word from beginning to end, and Groove Collection far exceeded our expectations for pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception music!  He met with us months before the wedding at our venue in Knoxville, Tennessee.  My first impression was how professional he was… well-dressed, polite, kind and very accommodating!  He was eager to work with us on a very untraditional arrangement for the wedding processional, and the band executed the arrangement flawlessly… my daughter and her husband were amazed with their vocals!  In fact, everyone was amazed with their vocals… amazed with their talent!

I recommend Groove Collection with enthusiasm!  In fact, they were a major hit with our guests and a major influence on the success of the wedding!  All night, guests ages 20-70 were saying, "Where did you find this band?  They are wonderful!  They are great!   They are the best we have heard!"  My response is Bravo… thank you… job well done!

“Groove Collection did an amazing job with our wedding and I would fully recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, energetic and talented band to entertain their guests.  My wife and I are picky people and we've both been close to music in some form or another for most of our lives.  So when it came time to pick the wedding band, it was actually more stressful than most of the other 18 million decisions that go into throwing a wedding.   However, we ultimately decided on the Groove Collection after meeting Leslie, the band manager.  It was clear to us that they were willing to do whatever was needed to ensure that the wedding reception we had in our heads become a reality… and they didn't disappoint.

 

Matt (the lead singer) and the band worked with us in the months leading up to the wedding to determine the song list and also to insert a few songs we selected into their playlist.  That really meant a lot to us and I doubt you'll find any other band willing to learn new songs just for your wedding.  On top of that, the band coordinated all of the logistics directly with the event coordinator and the venue so it was completely hands-off for us when it came our wedding day.  It isn't until after the wedding is over that you realize how important it is to be able to trust that the band has all of their bases covered.  

At the actual reception, it became clear that the decision to hire the Groove Collection was the perfect choice. 

During the dinner, they kept things appropriately low-key and provided a tasteful backdrop to guests mingling and eating.  The band then delivered a moving rendition of Al Green as we danced our first dance then immediately launched into party mode and filled up the floor.  They amazingly kept that pace and energy level well into the night... our guests were having so much fun that we opted to extend the reception.  The band had people dancing that I had never seen dance in the 25+ years that I've known them (which is a good thing). 

At the end of the day, I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience working with Groove Collection.  They're professional, dependable, friendly and above all a really great band.  We continue to get compliments on our reception several months after the fact.  I'm completely happy with our choice and can't recommend them enough."
